Someone connected GPT-6 Astra to TradingView, wired it into an AI trading firm, and the whole loop now runs on its own. Here is the setup.
Three open source pieces:
• research -- TradingAgents, 88,000 stars, a paper behind it.
> Four analysts read one ticker at once: financials, news and macro, technicals, sentiment from StockTwits and Reddit.
> A bull and a bear researcher argue over what they found.
> A trader writes the call, risk stress-tests it, a portfolio manager approves or rejects.
• strategy -- the TradingView MCP puts Astra inside your desktop chart.
> You describe the idea, it writes the Pine Script and compiles it.
> It reads its own errors, fixes them, then replays the strategy bar by bar through history before anything is live.
• execution -- Alpaca's own MCP server, straight from the broker.
> Equities, ETFs, options and crypto, with market data on the same connection.
> Paper endpoint and live endpoint are the same code with a different key.
Each part is free and runs on your own model key.
