# EondCut Thumbnail

## Overview

Create text-first tutorial thumbnails for technical videos. Prefer a simple branded card over a random video frame when the video teaches installation, setup, usage, development, or troubleshooting.

The default output concept is `branded_tutorial_card`: topic-colored background, EOND logo at top-left, product/topic logo at top-right, and a readable title with at most two text lines.

## Core Rules

Use these constraints for every thumbnail:

- Keep title text to 2 lines or fewer.
- Use 1 short support line only when needed.
- Make the main title readable on mobile first.
- Prefer solid or near-solid backgrounds over busy screenshots.
- Put the EOND logo in the top-left.
- Put the product/topic logo in the top-right.
- Do not make logos larger than the title.
- Leave generous padding around all edges.
- Avoid long sentences, punctuation-heavy copy, and tiny labels.
- Use Korean-first wording for Korean tutorial content.

## Workflow

1. Identify the topic category.
2. Choose the background color and accent from `references/topic-style-guide.md`.
3. Extract or write the title in 2 lines or fewer.
4. Choose the product logo. If no logo exists, use a short text badge.
5. Compose the card:
   - top-left: EOND logo
   - top-right: product/topic logo or badge
   - center: title
   - bottom: optional short support line
6. Export platform sizes as needed:
   - YouTube: 1280x720
   - Shorts/Reels/TikTok: 1080x1920
   - Square: 1080x1080
7. Validate by checking readability at small size.

## Title Writing

Transform noisy titles into direct tutorial labels.

Good:

- `FFmpeg 설치 방법`
- `Whisper 자막 만들기`
- `라이믹스 모듈 설치`
- `워드프레스 이전하기`
- `리눅스 데스크탑 세팅`
- `EondCMS 페이지 연결`
- `바이브코딩 시작하기`
- `크롬 확장 만들기`
- `전자책 제작하기`

Avoid:

- Full sentence titles.
- More than two visual lines.
- Clickbait that hides the actual product.
- Generic text like `쉽게 알려드립니다` unless paired with a concrete product.

## Layout Presets

Use `bold_color` as the default.

- `bold_color`: solid topic color background, white title, small logo badges.
- `clean_white`: white background, black title, colored product badge.
- `split`: left topic-color block, right white block, title across the safe center.

For EondCut automatic generation, start with `bold_color`. Add `clean_white` and `split` as style options after the basic card generator is stable.

## EondCut Implementation Guidance

When implementing this in EondCut:

- Add thumbnail mode `card`.
- Keep existing modes `frame` and `upload`.
- Store card options in the job options:
  - `thumbnail_mode: "card"`
  - `thumbnail_topic`
  - `thumbnail_style`
  - `thumbnail_title`
  - `thumbnail_subtitle`
  - `thumbnail_product_logo`
- Generate with Pillow or another deterministic server-side renderer.
- Save the generated image as `thumbnail.jpg` or `thumbnail.png`.
- Include the selected/generated thumbnail in ZIP bundles.
- Let users edit title/subtitle before processing.

## Logo Rules

- Top-left is always EOND.
- Top-right is the product/topic logo.
- If a logo file is not available, use a rounded badge with short text.
- Badge text should be 8 characters or fewer when possible.
- Keep both logos inside the top safe area.

## Text Rules

- Main title: 1-2 lines.
- Support line: 0-1 line.
- Main title should be a noun phrase or direct action phrase.
- Prefer product name + action:
  - `FFmpeg 설치 방법`
  - `Whisper 자막 만들기`
  - `EondCMS 플러그인 연결`
- Avoid weak titles:
  - `초보자도 쉽게 할 수 있는 설치 방법`
